Hi there! I’m Elayne Miller, and I’m so excited to welcome you to Annunciation Designs, a hand-lettered greeting card and goods shop. This idea started around 2015 as I practiced hand-lettering, but really got rolling in 2016 when my son’s Godfather told me that he did not have a card for his Baptism gift. Why not? He looked everywhere and couldn’t find one. I decided right then to bring my hand-lettering and painting to this need.

The name Annunciation Designs comes from the angel Gabriel’s sharing with Mary the news that she would become the God-bearer. Our cards are a little way for you to share in the joys and sorrows of loved ones.  Our products help families call to mind the Sacred in the midst of the ordinary.  We focus on practical, everyday items with a Catholic, hand-lettered touch. Each design is hand-lettered and painted by me using a stylus and tablet. Our cards are printed at a local printer here in Ohio and hand cut and folded.  Our shirts and towels are hand-printed in our home.  We work hard to provide value and quality.

Our favorite project to help call to mind the Sacred? The Wanderlust Catholic!  Each month, subscribers receive a hand-lettered and illustrated letter detailing the beauty and wonder of a piece of Catholicism.  Explore churches, apparition sites, Saints’ homes, pilgrimage sites,  local traditions, and more.  Children and adults alike will watch the mailbox in anticipation, awaiting a new tale.
